The current version of DocuSign eSignature doesn't offer envelope bulk download capabilities for the users yet. DocuSign Retrieve has been a solution for many years, but the outdated UI and UX needed an update for further sales. As my summer intern project, I had an opportunity to redesign Retrieve.
I worked as a solo designer for this project, responsible for an end-to-end redesign from ideating, wireframing, prototyping, showcasing (testing), iterating and producing a promotional video for the sales team.
To be very honest, I had a tiny bit of drag going into the summer, after a long spring of being rejected from two companies I wished to intern at. I thought that the projects won't be as interesting at DocuSign because of the nature of its business and enterprise centered products.
My mind was blown! The people and the culture of the company was goofy, funky, creative, playful, active, vibrant, kind, and warm. There were help everywhere and even the problem spaces were fun in their complexity and potential impact in the users. My project was not to design a button or a webpage, but a full on redesign of an existing product!
I learned a lot from working with people of different discipline, facing and talking to customers, and planning the timeline of my project within this large company. Not to mention practicing intuition, creativity, and practicality throughout redesigning DocuSign Retrieve.
To be very honest again, it was the best internship I could've asked for, Thank you.
